“Emotions from Afar” by Alf Steinsvik is a big travel documentary photo exhibition that counts more than 100 photographs.
This is Alf’s first photo exhibition which he had already shown in Lithuania in January 2024. Now this exhibition is presented by So Foto Galleri at CLARION HOTEL STOCKHOLM.
Alf Steinsvik - Norwegian, Lithuanian, Swedish photographer, traveler, artist, and musician who grew up rowing around in the Swedish Archipelago with his fishing rod and got addicted to nature, hiking, and wildlife. In his early 20s, he got a job to assist the great painter and aquarelle virtuoso, Anders Wallin who inspired me to do something with, what he claimed his visual talents, so Alf started studying art at The Vilnius Academy of Arts.
I started my more professional photography quest - by investing in a good Sony Alpha7 mirrorless camera with a Sony 24-105 mm and Sigma 150-600 mm bird lens and I started on an increadibly exciting journey onto the world and into myself.
Every year I visit my beloved Northern regions, yet to find a place that is more dramatic, challenging, and rewarding. With time I got braver, more experienced, and curious, extending my trips.”
