Snow in Sofo, had opened our gallery in March. This opening exhibition had also travelled in other galleries around in Stockholm and landed in our web shop as well!

The exhibition consists of 40 photos featuring snow in Sofo, the popular area in Södermalm, Stockholm. Photos were taken during several years and not only during winters.

Justina Rosengren has been working with photography from 1997, first as an agent and in 2012, she has started her professional press photographer career.  Her favourite assignments as a freelance event photographer were concerts and fashion weeks, in Stockholm and in London. At the same time, she was working with private projects and other art projects. This is her ninth exhibition and for the Snow in Sofo, this one is the 4th time, extended from 20 to 40 works, which we not shown before.

” I love snow and especially that feeling when it comes after, dark, wet and windy November. Then, snow brings the light and covers everything making everything look much more beautiful. The first snow always brings Christmas feeling. Snow is very unpredictable. It comes. It melts. It changes the structure and color depending on weather. Snow can come in huge piles in November, and just a pinch of it or almost none under Christmas, when it is most expected and creates most joy.  It brings sadness when pouring again and again making people sad in April. The fresh and fluffy, most beautiful one, does not stay so for a long. “

The last chance to see the exhibition hanging is this Saturday until 15.00 on 29th of May.
